How plants turn light into energy

Photosynthesis converts light energy into chemical energy. Chlorophyll absorbs light, helping the plant use water and carbon dioxide to make sugars. Oxygen is released as a by-product. The sugars support growth and can be stored for later use.

Pip explains it one idea at a time.
